About Ros – Founder of Brecon Mindfulness
Ros has been a secondary school teacher for over 20 years in a variety of different schools and before that she worked in the field of mental health. Her most recent teaching role was at Christ College Brecon where her programme of study in Personal and Social Education (PSE) was judged to be outstanding by Estyn and central to the provision of care, support and guidance of pupils
It was whilst teaching PSE that Ros became passionate about the value of bringing mindfulness and meditation techniques to children and young people. She has since trained with Youth Mindfulness who were one of the organisations involved in the Mindful Nation report which was produced by Parliament in 2016. She is qualified to deliver mindfulness to both children and adults.
Ros has 2 daughters and lives in Brecon. She currently works for the NHS part time as a Wellbeing Facilitator. Ros is originally from London, but her heart is now firmly in Wales.
Diana Denman is a qualified Mindfulness trainer for adults, and offers the Mindfulness Youth Programme for children and young people. Diana works with individuals and groups to deepen and develop their practice. She is a is former special school headteacher, and has worked extensively for many years with children and young people who have complex learning, social, emotional and mental health needs. Diana is also a qualified ILM Coach and Mentor.
